According to The Beatles Recording Sessions, which is a fabulous book, the lads recorded two passes of silliness, then the engineers cut up the tape, reordered the bits, and stuck them back together. No intended message.

I actually hear “never goose me any other way” but that’s what’s so fun about their hidden messages: you can “hear” almost anything you want.

The book says if you play it backwards you do hear a very dirty message. So let’s hear what they really had to say!

  1. The inner track when played backwards sounds like the group is saying “We’re talking like a groover band”
